A Life Of Spiritual Warfare

Greetings Everyone,

As of August 1st our web page is up and running! We are excited to have arrived at this point and thank everyone who has prayed and supported us in this endeavor. We have many plans for it and will continue to update it and add more material as we move along. Please take a look at Stans handiwork by visiting us at WCCD.COM

UPDATES

Our next workshop here in Thousand Oaks is scheduled for the 1st weekend of Dec.(3-5,1999.) Please join us in prayer for a great outpouring and for all to be able to attend that desires. I am currently planning a trip to South America sometime in November. I am also in contact with Josef Jasinski of Promised Land Ministries in Edmonton, Alberta Canada and considering a workshop there sometime in 2000. Please be in prayer for the upcoming years schedule that I will be preparing in the next few months.

In October I will be speaking at the Pastor's conference in Lake Hamilton, Arkansas. I look forward to networking with other ministers and Churches in the deliverance field.

MESSAGE FROM PASTOR

As many of you know, I had curtailed traveling since the first of this year to spend some needed time with my family and resting from the extreme meeting schedule pace that I have been on for the last nine years. It has been a very beneficial time for me during these past 7 months. The Lord has ministered, strengthened and redirected me for future ministry. Though good for me, it has been interesting to watch the effects of my lack of presence on many church members. Everything from fantastic support to outright lies have surfaced in these last seven months. Some have shown great signs of insecurity and fear of which, I had tried to lay to rest and asked them to just be patient. Others have manifested in much the same way the children of Israel did when Moses disappeared up the mountain to spend time with God. They quickly forget which camp they belong too, lose all common sense and end up abandoning the Lord, their leader and return to the sins of their youth. It's quite clear after a short half of year who indeed are the faithful and who are in the ministry because God directed them and who is following man or selfish ambitions. Satan has desired to sift you and I pray for some that the Holy spirit will help them before its too late. I encourage all as repeatedly said, find your post, fill it and continue to be faithful to God. I am still at the helm and assure you that there are no secret plans to escape to deserted islands and wait for the end of the world to come this January.

Because of the many issues which have surfaced in the past seven months, I felt it best to review what it means to dedicate oneself to a life of spiritual warfare and to refresh the memory on a few things God considers. We all know it's easy to grow tired of the battle, but we need to remember that light and darkness will always clash. And until Satan and his hosts are thrown into the lack of fire, the battle will continue.

We're uprooted from the Devil's Kingdom

Act's 26:18 15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. 16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; 17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, 18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Col 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

We Can't live with our feet in 2 camps. God has called us and set us apart into his kingdom to do his will. Because we have been redeemed from the devil's kingdom he will always be at war with God's own.

Jr 51:20 Thou art my battle ax and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms; 21 And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider; 22 With thee also will I break in pieces man and woman; and with thee will I break in pieces old and young; and with thee will I break in pieces the young man and the maid; 23 I will also break in pieces with thee the shepherd and his flock; and with thee will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and with thee will I break in pieces captains and rulers. 24 And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith the LORD.

Again we see God's desire and purpose to use his people in battle.

Ezek 33:1 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: 3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; 4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. 5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. 6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand. 7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. 8 When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. 9 Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

There is an awesome responsibility to that which God has entrusted us. Judgement day will surely be sad for many when they have to give account for what they have done with what God had entrusted to them.

Becoming Happy warriors

Embrace Disappointment

James 1:1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. 2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

There are no guarantees that life will have no disappointments. In fact reality tells use quite the opposite. We will have to await heaven to have a life free of heartache and disappointment.

God's Purpose in our Warfare

Judges 3:23:1 Now these are the nations which the LORD left, to prove Israel by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of Canaan; 2 Only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at the least such as before knew nothing thereof; 3 Namely, five lords of the Philistines, and all the Canaanites, and the Sidonians, and the Hivites that dwelt in mount Lebanon, from mount Baalhermon unto the entering in of Hamath. 4 And they were to prove Israel by them, to know whether they would hearken unto the commandments of the LORD, which he commanded their fathers by the hand of Moses.

The enemy knows that he no longer holds over us the power of death. He will try to ensnare, deceive, and destroy as many people as he can until the day Jesus returns.

On that day we will say to Satan and his demons ," you attempted to enslave us on earth, but we waged war against you. What you meant for our destruction, God has permitted to help train us to rule. Preparing us for our place of authority. We are to occupy until he comes.

Thought # 4.

Fight the Real Enemy

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Usually we are all experts we it comes to battling people. We defend our own position, condemn others, and fight our flesh. This all amounts to shadow boxing. We cannot forget who the real enemy is. Train to fight your own fights. It is essential to not back down, become fearful, or entertain slothful attitudes.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Taking Back All Ground

Ex 10:9 And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto the LORD. 10 And he said unto them, Let the LORD be so with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for evil is before you. 11 Not so: go now ye that are men, and serve the LORD; for that ye did desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.

As long as the enemy has any foothold in our lives we should never turn from the battle until, "We have pursued our enemy and not turn back until they are all consumed." Moses never let up on Pharaoh until everything that he was responsible for was delivered.

Don't Buy back into Satan's Business

Rev 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Rev 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. 28 And I will give him the morning star.

Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Often after a measure of deliverance people grow complacent, relax their guard and quite often get caught again in the devil's snares. Don't forget the devil does not sleep, takes no time outs, or vacations. Endure hardness as good soldiers of Christ and don't forget who your allegiance is to. Remember, God tests his people with warfare to see if they will obey his commandments

Until next time, God bless,

Pastor Monty
